embody effortless ease

Experience enhanced energy and increased mobility.

Feel a sense of freedom and expansion throughout your body.

Structural Integration incorporates movement and manual therapy to alleviate

stress, tension & chronic holding patterns.

Structural Inegration

Also known as ‘The Rolf Method,’ or ‘SI’ for short, Structural Integration was developed as a strategic process of decompressing the body and reorganizing the relationships of tissues exposed to stress & strain.

For best results it is recommended to experience as a series over 10 Sessions. However this global integration can be provided on a session - to - session basis.

Experience Relief & Sustaining Results

Structural Integration provides long-standing results reducing pain and restriction. Communicating with soft tissues through hands-on bodywork and movement education, this approach supports the renegotiation of habitual tissue and movement patterns; enhancing an expanded bodily awareness, relational balance and coordination throughout the mindbody connection.

the 10 series

FREEING THE OUTER TISSUES

Our outermost tissues, referred to as primary movers, support us in the larger everyday movements. Providing a greater felt sense of freedom in our external sleeve, creates more room to expand from the inside out.

FREEING THE INNER TISSUES

Our innermost tissues, referred to as primary stabilizers, support us in alignment in everyday movements. Providing a greater felt sense of freedom in our internal core, fosters enhanced range of movement and mobility.

BALANCING THE INNER & OUTER

Optimizing the relationship between primary movers and stabilizers, allow us to access greater energy potentials for movement. Providing a greater felt sense of fluidity and agility in our daily lives and performance needs.

faq’s

  • Please wear a sports bra and running / biking shorts, or something of the like. We will always work within your clothing comfort.

  • Yes. As part of your SI sessions, education on daily movement patterns, experiential embodiment practices and-or prehab / rehab exercises are included.

  • Yes. Your series will include a gait analysis utilizing the Ranchos Los Amigos research center approach, as well as assess movement patterns; such as squats, per your needs.

  • We can accept Health Savings Accounts (HSA cards), and can provide SOAP notes for your insurance, should they offer reimbursement.

  • Structural Integration is relating the whole body unto itself and the stressors of your environments. Eg, how a chronically aggravated left hip relates to a shoulder injury from years ago. SI treats the entirety of movement and sensory systems to facilitate change. Massage stimulates sensory systems, yet rarely addresses relational issues or creates new neuropathways of habitual movement.

  • Sessions are 75 minutes. This includes assessment, manual seated / table work, and movement / embodiment education.

  • It is suggested for best results to receive sessions within 2-3 weeks from one another.

  • Each session begins with an assessment, an embodied experience (as a starting point), manual treatment and movement education, resulting with an embodied experience (to assess point b).

The manual work is not deep or painful, yet on the contrary often soothing, with some spots along the way with increased sensation. Movement work is integrative easily implementable in your daily living, so no crazy homework between visits.

At times in a 10 Series, people may experience profound shifts in their life outside of the treatment room. This can be from the shifts of what was once held in the body, moving / releasing. The mindbody aspects of the work can be magical and a nod to all you had been carrying.

the science why si works

Structural Integration (SI) was developed as a holistic system

combining manual manipulation & movement education

to restore the body to its natural state & alignment.

Through the stimulus of structurally intended touch,

the nervous system reorganizes the relationships of our bones,

muscles and fascia for balanced congruency,

giving our body the support necessary to function optimally.

Fascia is a web-like matrix that surrounds the entirety of the human body.

It responds to injury, cumulative movement patterns, chronic tension,

psychological trauma & societal impressions via influences of our nervous system.

The impacts of these forces within gravity shortens the glue-like substance

of fascia creating adhesions, restrictions & immobility.

These structural confines then impart inadequacies upon function.

Reduced function then effects quality of movement and life.
